Independent Living made Easy by the Watermark Group
The Watermark Group prides itself on providing the highest quality independent living for seniors in New South Wales. With its Sydney based project in Castle Cove, it’s clear that Watermark has distinguished themselves as the benchmark of retirement living. With maintenance & security available 24/7, matched with being steps away from hospitals, local shopping boutiques, restaurants, and golf courses, it is easy to see why residents feel a true sense of community.
Winner of the coveted Best Seniors Independent Living project in 2011 by New South Wales’ Urban Development Institute of Australia, has only encouraged staff and residents to thrive. Residents feel like they are well taken care of, and staff delivers their promises day in and day out to residents and owners. Nada Vescio is part of the management team at the Watermark Castle Cove Residences and is proud of the sense of community that Watermark has developed,
“We have a diverse range of people from all walks of life, and the community spirit among the residents is so good, that I feel I am part of the extended family that we have. It is a pleasure to come to work.”
Watermarks Castle Cove Residences in Sydney offers pet friendly 1,2, and 3 bedroom apartments with generous living areas and spacious kitchens with quality appliances. There is reverse cycle air conditioning throughout the and oversized storage is available. Castle Cove’s Library is what seperates Watermark from the rest. Offering over 6000 books, there is hours of endless fun at an arms length. There are also large community rooms, annual arts and craft shows, reading groups, and even Pilates and Yoga Classes! When it’s time to wind down, go to the card room, or call a friend and watch a flick in the 18 seat in house cinema.
Watermark has gone to great lengths to create deep integration in the local community. There is an abundance of rivers, nature reserves and parklands, and the major health care providers are only a short stroll away.
The Watermark executive team of Tony Olding (Director), Enzo Marchione (Executive Director), and Dr. Christopher Watt (Director) have a vested interest in seeing their communities succeed, and established The 5% Foundation in 2013. This is where Watermark directors contribute 5% of all net surpluses from Watermark operations to focus on educational and youth areas in support of people or groups in necessitous circumstances. They promote and encourage other businesses in the region to become a member of the 5% Foundation to strive and make a difference in their local communities.
Enzo Marchione, emphasizes that “Our goal is to strive continually toward quality, value driven endeavors in order to create a vibrant community, a welcoming environment and to promote and inspire meaningful relationships.” This vision encapsulates how the Watermark Team practices leadership and sense of community as much as they preach it.
